Our Woodlands Trail boys need dedicated men to guide them. As a Trail Guide, you will have a direct impact on a small patrol of boys, leading them in hands-on activities and helping them grow in character and skill.

Why be a Trail Guide?

    • Direct Mentorship: You are the primary leader and role model for your patrol.

    • Team-Based Leadership: You’ll work with a team of 2-4 men, sharing the responsibilities and rewards. You are never on your own.

    • Lasting Impact: Invest your time and talent in building capable and godly young men.

We are building our leadership teams now for our Fox, Hawk, and Mountain Lion patrols. Step up to the challenge and join us in this critical ministry.

Qualifications

    • Christian man* age 18 or older

    • Registered Adult (or eligible to be registered)

*Women are permitted to serve as a Fox Trail Guide

Core Duties

In service to our troop and its families, Trail Guides collaboratively fulfill these essential functions:

    • Shepherd the Patrol: You will work within your leadership team to skillfully deliver the bi-weekly curriculum, transforming lesson plans from Trail Life Connect into memorable, character-building experiences for your patrol.

    • Uphold Our Commitment to Safety: As a mentor, you are entrusted with the well-being of our youth. You will demonstrate a steadfast commitment to this trust by ensuring a safely supervised environment and diligently adhering to all youth protection policies of Trail Life USA and Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church.

    • Foster a Community of Trust: You will build strong, cooperative relationships with parents, serving as a reliable source of communication and ensuring they remain engaged and informed partners in their son’s Trail Life journey.

Additional Responsibilities

    • Communication: Keep leaders aware of your availability for meetings. Stay current with the troop calendar to provide timely updates to your patrol members and their parents.
