Troop Meeting

We’ll be serving food to the needy at Providence Rescue Mission. Please be there no later than 5:15 to receive instructions and get ready. Dinner should take about 2 hours. Please wear your full Troop uniform (and hat if you have it). Gloves and other utensils will be provided. Woodlands Trailmen are required to serve alongside a parent.

Due to limited space in the dining room, this opportunity will only be open to the first ten Trailmen that sign up. Preference will be given to Navigators.

Trailmen who participate will receive 2 Servant Service hours. Navigators should record their hours in their Trailman Handbook as well as TLC.

The Providence Rescue Mission is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization in the West End of Providence, Rhode Island. We are more than just a homeless shelter and soup kitchen. Our goal is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ while treating every individual that comes through our doors with dignity and respect. We are able to do this because of you who faithfully, month after month, donate your time, materials and resources to us. We believe that God does miracles, and due to your faithful support, we see them every day. Thank you so much for being a friend of the mission. Troop Meeting

We’re heading to Bristol for some birding 101. Our guide will take us on a walk and help us learn all about birds and how to spot them. We’ll then have a short time of activities.

Agenda

• 8:45 – Arrival
• 9am – Birds of prey walking tour
• 10am – Games
• 10:30 – Dismissed

Trailmen that participate in this activity can fulfill the Hit the Trail requirement for the Hobbies Branch.

We have been invited to Worcester for another Faith and Family night with the Worcester Red Sox (WooSox) at Polar Park.

This is for all age groups and friends and family are welcome to come but Trailmen must be in uniform if participating in the color guard aspect of the evening.

• The game takes place on Saturday, June 7th, with game time at 4pm and arrival time to the park around 3pm.
• The cost would only be $15 or $20.
• Each Trailmen would also receive a commemorative WooSox patch.
