The Woodlands Trail unit (boys ages 5–10 as of Oct 31) meets every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesday of the month. Trailmen gain knowledge about outdoor skills, citizenship, character, friendship, and faith through fun activities, awards, and skill instruction. We also go on a Hit the Trail event each month for camping, hiking, service project, or other activity.

The Navigators unit (boys ages 11–13 as of Oct 31) meets every 1st, 3rd, and 4th Tuesday of the month. Trailmen gain understanding of their values and beliefs under the guidance of Godly male role models through being responsible in outdoor adventures and in their home and school life. They explore areas of interest and earn Trail Badges for advancement.

The Adventurers unit (boys ages 14–17 as of Oct 31) meets every 1st, 3rd, 4th Tuesday of the month. Trailmen mature in wisdom and faith through more difficult challenges and leadership activities with Christian men walking alongside. They plan and lead outdoor events and large projects while exercising leadership positions in the Troop, even mentoring some of the younger Trailmen.

Why join a Trail Life troop?
More than ever, boys need a uniquely masculine program where their assertive, audacious, and adventurous nature is celebrated, not sequestered.

FAQ
When does your troop meet?
The Woodlands Trail unit meets every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesday. We also will have around one Hit the Trail event per month and go camping 2–3 times a year. Trailmen break from regular meetings in the summer.
The Navigators and Adventurers units meet every 1st, 3rd, and 4th Tuesday and will go camping, hiking, or other outdoor skills-learning activity every month. Regular meetings continue through the summer.
What do you do at your meetings?
In our normal Troop meeting, the boys learn a topic or skill related to the Woodlands Trail branch that we are working on. We may also have special meetings where we recognize special accomplishment or prepare for an upcoming Hit The Trail activity. See: What to expect at a Troop meeting
Can families participate in Troop meetings?
The Trailman’s dad is expected to participate with their son in the Troop. If for some reason dad is unable to participate, mom, uncle, grandpa, etc. is highly encouraged to participate in the activity with their son(s).
Do we have to be Christian to join?
Boys of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome to join the Troop. We’d love to have them! We do not require boys to be Christian nor do we force them to “become” Christian. However, Christian principles are a part of everything we do. Some awards are faith-based and require some level of church participation in order to earn.
How much does does it cost to be a member of the Troop?
Trail Life USA has a very reasonable yearly registration fee of $42.27, which is paid directly to the Trail Life USA Home Office. Additionally, the Troop may require dues paid or participation in fundraiser in order to help cover the cost of events, activities, awards, and the like. See: Troop Costs
